New romance rumours in town! But are they just rumours? Let’s find out. The two stars, Ice Spice and Tobey Maguire were caught kissing at Michael Rubin’s annual White party (A huge bash on the Fourth of July weekend). While any romantic angle is denied by Ice Spice’s team, the internet’s not buying it yet, considering the images and videos surfacing online.

The blurry images and videos show Tobey, and Ice Spice (Isis Naija Gaston) facing him, with her back towards the camera, but she’s easy to identify with her coloured-blonde hair. The visual evidence portrays the two chatting, standing close and briefly later, sharing what seems like a kiss, or a friendly peck? I personally hope the former, because why not.
One of the two parties, Ice Spice’s team has already reacted and pushed back on the rumours; expressing the visuals to be suggestive due to the camera angles. Instead, they were sharing a vape and greeting one another casually. While Maguire hasn’t commented, Ice Spice shared photos from the party, captioning them, “Spider Man was in the building.”

So, the real question is, how did two artists from relatively different worlds end up in the same room? And that too so dangerously/romantically (subjective) close? The latter I may not know to be true, but the former, I can tell you about. Like, I mentioned earlier, it’s an annual party on the Fourth of July weekend. Adding to this, the event is known to cue an insane mix of A-listers, athletes and influencers, across different fields; making it a place of unexpected interactions, like Tobey and Ice Spice’s.
Fantasising The Rumours To Be True
There’s no doubt that this new rumoured-pairing seems quite unexpected. Now, dare I take a step forward and comment on the age gap conversation that followed on the internet, soon after the images and videos surfaced. Tobey is 51 years old and Ice Spice is 26 years old, that is, 25 years younger than one-of-the-classic-on-screen-spider-man.
While this twenty-five-years-gap may have a few raising eyebrows, not all the reactions were extremely disapproving. As of now, a section of the audience remains quite unbothered with this issue. Contrastingly, a major portion is heavy on the disagreement part as the gap is arguably, a lot. Even though, one side denied these speculations, Tobey’s silence helps the debate prevail.
What The Fans Are Saying
Apart from the age-gap-debate, other reactions are actually easy-going and satirical. Yep, you guessed it right; I’m totally hinting at the numerous memes making their rounds on Twitter, Instagram, Reddit, X etc., highlighting the celebrities’ artistic backgrounds: Tobey’s Spider Man franchise and Ice Spice’s rap-music along with their industry-activities.
One of my personal favourites, “The crossover nobody asked for, but everyone is watching” describes the situation in the best way possible. Despite some fans rooting for the two, many remain neutral awaiting some official confirmation or word, and some completely negative for the pairing, as many Reddit users expressed: It just doesn’t make sense. And, yes, I agree.
Regardless of what we feel, the rumours will keep circulating, as long as, chronically online fans, like you and me, can’t find something else to obsess over and dig in. So, which side are you on?
