She’s already quite renowned, but all the surprises this year holds for her brings her attention again!
Simply put, Anne is taking over Hollywood. With two of her released movies and the most thrilling lineup for 2026, her pregnancy news becomes a cherry on top.
From Runway to Theatres
The highly anticipated “The Devil Wears Prada 2” released earlier this year on 1 May, a sequel for its first iconic part. Not only did Anne Hathaway return and step into the now “fashion-approved” shoes of Andy Sachs, so did the entire core cast, including Meryl Streep and Emily Blunt.
The story follows a twenty years later fashion world, where Andy Sachs is a respectable journalist. When Miranda Priestly runs into a financial crisis for her magazine, she calls for Andy to save the day and become her features editor. In this way, Andy Sachs, played by Anne Hathaway, reclaims her power and sees eye-to-eye with Miranda without being intimidated by her.
From Nolan To Dinosaurs
Perhaps, the most awaited movie of 2026, “The Odyssey”, directed by Christopher Nolan, starring Anne Hathaway alongside some other big names like Tom Holland, Zendaya and Matt Damon. The movie is an epic adaptation of a Greek poem by Homer and follows the legendary Greek king Odysseus on his gruesome ten-year journey home after the Trojan War. It’s all set to hit the theatres on 17 July 2026.
Another riveting movie, “The End Of Oak Street”, stars Anne Hathaway as the lead opposite Ewan McGregor. What can be inferred from the teaser trailer: a mystical cosmic event hits the streets of Oak Street, taking that specific neighbourhood somewhere unexplored (by humans) glimpsing upon a possible dinosaur thriller.
Another Book Adaptation, Another Slay
At this point, every new day carries a new book adaptation, be it a movie or series. One of the best-selling authors of all time, Colleen Hoover didn’t hold back either. Her ever-thrilling book and my personal favourite, “Verity”, follows a struggling writer, Lowen Ashleigh (Dakota Johnson), being hired to ghostwrite a successful series for the incapacitated and manipulative author, Verity Crawford, played by Anne Hathaway. The movie explores a hidden web of lies and will releases in cinemas, 2 October 2026
The Baby Announcement
Anne Hathaway (43) announced her third pregnancy on 19 June 2026 with husband, Adam Shulman. She shared the good news via Instagram with a video of her in a white flowy dress, flaunting her baby bump on a public platform herself for the first time after being papped the previous two times. She and Adam already have two sons, Jonathan (born 2016) and Jack (born 2019). Her immediate public appearance after the announcement was in a strike red jumpsuit in New York City to promote her upcoming movie, “The Odyssey”, that we talked about earlier.
Apart from these movies, there’s more in line for Anne, not limited to acting. She is set to produce and star in a film adaptation of Caro Claire Burke’s popular novel “Yesteryear”, based on a successful “wifefluencer”, who romanticises 19th century life and suddenly ends up waking up in 1855. Besides this, the third sequel of her fan favourite “The Princess Diary” franchise, is also in the works. Anne Hathaway’s exciting lineup embroiled with her pregnancy news hits the right sweet spot for her fans!
