Then said, “Well, that’s my pyre!”

It wiggles to and fro—

And soon it’s gonna go!

With pencils in a line,
My crayons waved their little flags,
And said, “It’s drawing time!”

Made all of fluff and white,

And tanned beneath the sun.

And whispers, “Got some more?”

A rainbow spun around!
It sang a song of lemon drops,
And twirled without a sound.
I’ve got a pet you cannot see,
She’s made of clouds and light,
She chirps and zips and guards my dreams
When I fall asleep at night.
A billion ants marched up my toe,
To say hello and cheer—
They brought along a crumb parade,
With jam and cake and cheer!
It started with a tiny chuckle,
