50 Family Feud Questions for a Wild Game Night!

We’ve all seen the popular game show on TV and, we’re sure, you might have imagined what it would feel like to be on the show. Well, now here’s your chance to experience the exciting atmosphere of Family Feud!

There are a few things you would need before you start but this article will, perfectly, explain the rules and give you a list of questions. See, it’s that simple! We’ve put together everything you need and all the questions you can ask so you can make this an unforgettable night with your friends and family.

Hang On, First You Need to Prepare

Now, before we get to the amazing questions you will be asking, you probably should take a few seconds to read the main rules of the game and how to set up.

For a wild Family Feud night, you would need to gather a few things:

The Host

One person in the entire group will be designated as the host of the game. This person can familiarize themselves with the rules and explain them to the rest. The host is in charge of asking the questions, keeping scores, and tallying up the results.

The Teams

On Family Feud, two teams stand or sit on opposite sides of the room. We found that a minimum of three people per team works very well. Though, if you want to add a lot more excitement to the game, we recommend five people per team. Whatever the number of people in the group, divide them equally.

The Scoreboard

If you have a board somewhere in the attic, it’s time to bring it down because you would need it. This way, you can keep track of how many points each team has. However, if you don’t have a board, you can easily use a pen and paper or a digital scoreboard app on your phone. We live in the 21st century, you can figure it out!

The Buzzer

In Family Feud, the players use a button to try and answer the questions first. You can use an app on your phone to mimic the same sound as a buzzer. If you want to be a little more rambunctious, you can use anything around the house. A drum, a pot and spoon, a slap on the knee, or anything really. Be creative!

The Space

We recommend you find someplace large. It could be your living room or garage. Really, anywhere that you are all comfortable.

These are all you need, aside from the questions that we have provided for you below!

Up Next, the Rules of Family Feud

Starting the Round

When you’re all divided into teams, decide who on the team will go first. This person is categorized as the Leader of the team.

Here comes the first question

The Host will invite the Team Leaders to the front where the buzzers are located. The two players will face each other and listen to the question. Keep in mind that each question has several correct answers, each giving the player a different number of points. Whoever can press the buzzer first, will get to answer the question. You have 5 seconds to answer, be quick!

Wrong answers

If the first player to hit the buzzer fails to provide a correct answer, the second player gets a chance. It keeps going until one player provides one right answer.

Ding, Ding, Ding, you got the right answer

The Team Leader that gets the right answer can either decide to play this round with the rest of the team or pass it on to the opponent. The team who is playing this round will get the chance to give the rest of the answers. Remember, each question has several correct answers.

Onto the team that will be playing this round! Every player on that team will get the chance to provide one answer in turns.

The Strikes

For every wrong answer the team gives, they will receive one strike. Three strikes and you’re out! No, you’re not really out. The turn just goes to the opposing team who has one chance to provide ONE correct answer. If they get the right answer, all the points the other team had accumulated this round will be transferred to them. If they get the wrong answer, no points are transferred. It’s risky, be careful!

Onto Round Two

When the above steps are done, the host will tally up the points and move onto Round Two. New members of each team will head to the front by the host and try their shot at the buzzer. Now, all you have to do is repeat the above steps.

When does the game end?

When one team reaches 300 points, the game is over and the host will announce the winner!
